Hello Melanie,
Thank you
for your question. First, I'd like to let you know that there is nothing
wrong with loving someone from your past, even if the relationship
has ended. It certainly isn't easy to simply turn off love, no matter
how hard you try. However, what is needed is to put it in the proper
perspective. You need to let go of the relationship, and allow it
to be in the past, not intruding on the present. Carry with you the
lessons that you have learned, but put your focus into moving forward.
As you
work on letting go, this is also a good time to think about what you
are looking for, both for yourself in general, and the qualities that
you would like to find in a partner. This way, you can begin to recognize
people and things in your life that you want to have around you, as
well as those you don't. It will bring a sense of order to your life,
in the sense that you will realize that you do have specific goals,
and that you are on a path to realize them.
I don't
see you meeting anyone new for a long term relationship for a while.
The timing would be wrong, because you have not completely cleared
the remnants of your marriage. Once you have been able to do that,
you will find someone to begin a new relationship with. This is likely
to happen in about 6-9 months or so, depending on your success in
clearing out the past influences.
I believe
that by the time you do find someone new, you will recognize within
yourself a new inner strength, and the many qualities you have to
offer to someone else. You'll be open for the new relationship, without
the fear of being hurt, or of things not working out. You'll have
a solid foundation within yourself, ready to reach for everything
you've wanted, but had been unable in the past to clearly define.
I hope
that I have been able to help you along your path. I do believe that
you are right where you need to be at this time, at the beginning
of a new chapter in your life. You are ready to move forward, and
once you take the first step, things will fall into place more easily
than you expect.
Thank you
for allowing me to read for you -- many blessings to you!
Peace :)
