In
light of recent events concerning the violent attack on the peoples
of earth, I felt compelled to add my thoughts.
- We
do not have confirmation of who is responsible for these despicable
acts of violence... some things are not what they seem, remember
Oklahoma.
- Let
us seek justice and humane punishment and not lower ourselves to
the level of the enemy with the blind rage of revenge, assassination,
bloodshed and hatred. An eye for an eye just leaves everyone blind
and causes greater pain, suffering and karma.
- I
say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good
to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44
Sure.... it would be far easier on all of us if Jesus had just said "Love your friends".... but it is through suffering and
pain that we learn compassion, it is through the "darkness"
of our "enemies" that we learn to see our "light".
These tragedies give us the opportunity to transmute our fears and
hatred into love and forgiveness. If life is a lesson, we may be
facing a final exam.
I hope and believe we as a nation are growing past the torch-bearing,
monster-hunting townsfolk ready to storm Castle Frankenstein. I
believe we must not let the "powers that be" use our emotions
against us by manipulating us for their own agendas. Let logic and
truth prevail. Focus on healing not hatred, forgiveness not revenge....
see beyond the veil of illusion that separates us. We are all
one.
Let us remember and honor those souls that perished, the injured,
the witnesses to these unspeakable horrors and the loved ones and
families. Let us pray and embrace them in healing and compassion.
Let us all embrace ourselves also. Be gentle with yourselves in
this time of great suffering... of great lessons we are all facing
in compassion, love, forgiveness and the resilience of the human
heart. Enlightenment is often born of pain.
Days after my father's suicide in May, two friends of mine in completely
different parts of the world gave me nearly identical messages about
the lotus.... one friend had never channeled or gotten a conscious
intuitive message before in her life but was pressed by some unknown
force to ask me about the lotus, she knew nothing about the symbolism
but the lotus is a favorite of mine, the gleaming white head of
the flower rising above the filth that it grows is a Buddhist symbol
of purity, rising above suffering, growing through the murkiness
into the light, I even used the flower on the "Daily Inspirations" button on this site. While I was explaining this odd exchange the
next day to another, I was at that same moment greeted online by
another friend with a quote she had just read that morning....
"the lotus is a flower that blooms in the mud. the deeper
the mud, the more beautiful the lotus blooms." I shivered.
I was in awe of Spirit's synchronistic way of getting my attention
once again. In the weeks and months that followed, the message of
the Lotus sustained me, it helped to bring me back to love and forgiveness,
to slowly, painfully rise my head above the muck.
I hope this message of the Lotus will comfort you in some way as
it did me, and I hope each of you listens to the personal messages
God/Goddess/Creator will no doubt be sending you, on the wings of
syncronicities, the whispers of angels or the stirrings of your
heart.
In love
and healing light,
Harusami
