Thoughts
on Darkness and Light
a message to lightworkers
Sept. 18, 2001
Since Tuesday last I've been given a strong message that it is a
balance between light and dark that is needed, that there is no
light without darkness. Unless we all acknowledge and respect the
darkness within us, there is another being somewhere who will not
acknowledge their light... yes, the more we discount our own darkness
the more out of balance the universe becomes. No one is totally
good or totally evil, the world would suffer if robbed of night,
it is in acknowledging, respecting and harnessing our own darkness
while rejoicing in and spreading our light that we will find the
harmonic resonance to bring about the Divine Ultimate Union of
All There Is.
Many of us have been beset with incredible trials of body, mind
and spirit lately, some at an alarming rate.... it has been as if
the lessons were being accelerated for us personally. We have had
to face and overcome our worst fears and struggle with our own demons
within. We have been faced with health problems, financial woes,
relationship difficulties, addictions, anger, deaths... and some
of us in Twin Soul relationships have felt very much like the Twin
Towers in the total upheaval and destruction of our most precious
relationship. This was to prepare us. The overcoming of fear and
the love and acceptance of our own true selves and our darkness/light,
male/female, positive/negative is what will help us with this passage
into Harmony.
We have to make our hearts resilient and to learn fearlessness in
order to help the others of our world to survive. Some of us have
had troubling visions and dreams of rebuilding from utter destruction
and have assumed the worst.... I believe this ultimate destruction
can be avoided, or transmuted into a rebuilding of consciousness
on a global level. We have been prepared, we have been warned, now
it is up to us to implement the lessons learned... show others the
lessons you've learned in fearlessness and compassion, love and
faith. Answer your angry countrymen's call to arms and revenge with
calm compassion that we act with justice, not rage. Open the hearts
of the brokenhearted to compassion, speak in whispers to those who
yell out their pain. Be the light of the candle but know that both
creation and destruction live within the flame... this is another
symbol of the Divinity within us all. Acknowledge the darkness,
negativity, anger and pain that lies within, pull it out and look
at it, don't fear it, know that it does not control you, love and
forgive yourself and consciously live in the light of love and compassion.
There are
many lightworkers out there wishing to eliminate darkness from their
lives completely, live positively, think only loving thoughts, destroy
their ego-self and serve only their higher soul.... well, without
the ego we really have no purpose in the human body, it sustains our
human existence. Positive without negative and there is no synergy
or motion, without darkness, there is no light. As Light may symbolize
knowledge, courage, life and goodness and the Dark may symbolize ignorance,
fear, death and evil.... you can see without one, there is not the
other. Knowledge is born from Ignorance, it is an awakening to conscious
choice. Living a life devoted to service-to-others while shunning
and ignoring service-to-self and we would not be long for this world
in physical form.
There is a universe within us, we contain ALL, and it is in balancing
this light/dark, positive/negative, yin/yang, that shifts us into
higher vibration, lifting us into a "lighter", higher, clearer
realm.... all these humming little particles of matter vibrating in
harmonious union. It's our challenge to align our ego and higher soul,
and live consciously in the moment at all times.
Mainstream
interpretations of Good and Evil are relative and pointless, really,
the terrorist considers us quite evil in the eyes of his version of
God, as does Jerry Falwell. In the cosmic vibration "Good"
could mean that which draws us together - Love (positive force), "Evil" would be anything that seeks to separate us -Fear (negative force).
In the early history of human existence there was far more "darkness",
a lower vibration of "separateness". Our ancestors were
driven by simple survival in an US against THEM mentality, conquer
or be conquered, kill or be killed, a world of ignorance and fear....
and probably little concept of a "Good" and "Evil".
In order to know what a thing is, one must learn what a thing isn't....
this is experience. Our newly separated primitive souls were as far
divided from the Source as possible, and probably quite fearful and
uncertain, completely ignorant to their Divine Essence, and as far
away from what would be perceived as "the Light" as possible...
and this was way before the "Dark Ages". ;)
Through lifetimes of experiencing and evolving, growing and Being
it all, we draw back to the Source... remembering the lessons of our
separation and consciously choosing unity.... being drawn back to
What We Are..... Our original ONENESS... and ultimately learning through
unconditional love that there is no "Good and Evil", only
choices and lessons and experiences in each life. God/dess as Creator,
God/dess as Destroyer a part of us all, acknowledge it and consciously
choose what you will create and what you will destroy, whether it
causes separation, pain and fear, or unity, happiness and love. I
was once told that it was impossible to create something without also
destroying something in the process ... an interesting concept, but
I believe I disproved it at the time by creating a story on the spot...
without hurting anyone or anything ;)... but it was an interesting
thing to contemplate nonetheless.
So I'm saying, harness the darkness, honor the pain, sadness and anger
you feel, for without them you could never know bliss. Make the conscious
choice to be courageous, loving, wise, compassionate and nurturing
while knowing you have dominion over your fearful, hateful, ignorant,
spiteful and destructive self... you've come a long way baby ;) Love,
accept and forgive yourself , it's the path to loving, accepting and
forgiving all other souls, and the path to our Oneness.
Of course, as always, these are only MY truths. To each their own
path... Oh! and another thing Spirit has rather impishly implied to
me this week is that; "to be a seeker of truths, you've got
to allow yourself to be wrong until the truth fully emerges"...
hmmm.....
Love, Light
and Unity,
Harusami
