October 2006 Random Acts of Kindness September was quite a month here in the State of Colorado, my apologies for not getting a newsletter out sooner. His Holiness the Dalai Lama was in town for the amazing Peace Jam conference, though I was blessed to have manifested tickets to the event, somehow I also manifested a case of food poisoning that morning that kept me from going...and I'd been singing "Hello Dalai" all that week in preparation (ok, maybe that's why the Universe felt it best that I stayed home). It was days after the Peace Jam when a tragic school hostage situation happened in Bailey, Colorado, the physical life of one young girl was taken. That girl was thrilled to have attended Peace Jam, her name was Emily Keyes. The day after the tragedy, I received an email from a family friend of the Keyes, a family that embraced New Age/Buddhist beliefs, they wanted it known that Emily would best be honored by "random acts of kindness." There is not much I can add to this, it touched my heart deeply. After a similar tragedy struck days later in an Amish schoolhouse, I was touched to see the love, compassion and forgiveness that embraced that small community that "lost" so many loved ones. Fighting violence with compassion and understanding, answering fear and hatred with love and kindness, there is hope for us all. May we all commit acts of kindness in the coming days, for Emily, for us all. New in Soul2Soul Treasures... Happy Birthday Soul2Soul Treasures! I'm really excited this month to be carrying the great line of Water Ionizers by Rejuvenator. I had been wanting to purchase a water ionizer ever since taking healing workshops with Shaolin Master Dr. Kam Yuen back in 2003. Doctor Yuen praised the benefits of ionized high pH water for anti-aging, (this spry, athletic, handsome man was no spring-chicken, but looked so youthful!) weight-loss, and overall body health, and no...he doesn't sell ionizers. I was even more convinced about the importance of water after reading the works of Masaru Emoto, especially his "The Hidden Messages in Water" I realize how "dead" most of the water we drink is, chemically-enhanced tap water in our cities, or the expensive, fancy bottled waters that sit stagnant on store shelves ...there is no life force or "chi" in any of it. I've finally found an Ionizer/Alkalizer that is beautiful, well-made and most important for me, AFFORDABLE! I've also got more amethyst clusters and some really lovely natural quartz crystal candle holders up in the Home & Garden section...along with a St. Joseph Home Sale Kit that has been flying off the shelf here! I guess there are a lot of folks trying to sell their homes, and this really does work wonders.
Another item that has been flying off the shelves are the Goddess Shawls & Scarves. I've already sold-out two shipments, so order early for Samhain and Holiday gifts for your favorite Goddess!
