For those of you of the Wiccan/Pagan persuasion in the Denver area, the Eleventh Annual Witches' Ball will be held on Saturday, October 26th at the Highlands Masonic Center, click on the link for details. I had the pleasure this week of attending a lecture and demonstration by Dr. Kam Yuen, he's an amazing Chinese Energetic Master Healer and champion martial artist. He will be in the Denver/Boulder/Colorado Springs area October 7-20th lecturing and teaching workshops in his Yuen Energetics Instant Healing techniques. I had long ago toyed with the idea of honoring him with a worldwide day of peace and healing, now some people are actually trying to manifest this. A petition is being circulated to make this a reality beginning on October 9, 2005, his 65th birthday. Boo!
It's
hard to believe autumn has so soon arrived... a time of harvest and
a time to reflect upon the cycle of life and transcendence. Many cultures
honor this season as a time when the veil between worlds is lifted and
communion with departed loved ones is easier to facilitate. This is
a time of rest and reflection and of honoring our histories or releasing
the unnecessary baggage of our collective pasts.... and let's not forget,
it's a time of miniature Snickers Bars, Daffy Apples and Candy Corn....
